Description
The Enameling Process Makes Frey Wille Pieces Unique! Enamel is a mixture of finely ground glass and mineral additives, which is melted down at approx. 800°C. In roughly 20 procedural steps a base coat of four individual layers of enamel is applied onto a metal foundation.  Each enamel color is then sequentially applied. From 12 to 20 different colors are used for any one design. I purchased this beautiful piece of jewlery last year while on a trip to Vienna, Austria.  Materials:  Enamel & white-gold decoration mounted on Rhodium-plated setting White Gold Decoration Royal Clasp Bracelets are Currently Selling for $1520 On the U.S. Frey Wille Web Site See for Yourself - http://www.freywilleusa.com/shopping/clasp_bracelets_2/hww_8682_317.htm I hid it away and intended to give it to my wife for Chirstmas last year. They consider themselves a team of artists, experts of fine enameling, and goldsmiths.  They create modern jewelry in fine enamel, where the core of its value lies in the artistic creation. They choose the best materials to achieve perfection and long life.  They take their inspiration from modern life, historic periods of art (ancient Egypt, Greece), or from the masterworks of famous artists (Claude Monet, Gustav Klimt, Friedensreich Hundertwasser, Alphonse Mucha). Authenticity rules their creative concept: art masterpieces inspire our designs, which pay them tribute in turn, Decorative elements are carefully selected and new works of art are create. History (1951 - 1970) The Viennese artist Michaela Frey founded the company in 1951 and was the driving force in its early development. Dividing her time between Vienna and London, she sought inspiration from both – folkloric motifs as well as modern, urban design elements influenced her hand-painted art objects and jewelry. The Viennese artist Michaela Frey founded the company in 1951 and was the driving force in its early development. Dividing her time between Vienna and London, she sought inspiration from both – folkloric motifs as well as modern, urban design elements influenced her hand-painted art objects and jewelry. (1970 - 1980) Friedrich Wille steps in as a business partner. Though his background was in chartered accountancy, he was well educated in the arts and humanities and thus a lover of art and culture. (1980 - 1990 ) After Frey’s death in 1980, the company developed a new, academically trained design team under the leadership of Simone Grünberger-Wille. She created a new jewelry design concept in which geometric or visionary motifs dominated the artistic designs. (1990 - 2000) Since 1990, the source of artistic inspiration was broadened to include epochs of ancient civilization, such as Egypt and Greco-Roman . In addition, new modern collections were launched. The Claude Monet Foundation at Giverny teamed up with the firm to create a jewelry collection based on this great French- Impressionist’s masterpieces. Later, more “hommages” collections honoring the works of William Morris, Gustav Klimt, Friedensreich Hundertwasser and Alphonse Mucha were added. (2000 - Present Day) Until 2000, the jewelry was mainly sold in Europe: France, Germany, Austria and Italy. Since 2001, new markets have been developed, first in the Middle East and later in East Asia, Japan, central and eastern Europe, and North America. Despite such exponential growth, hand craftsmanship dominates our production, which to this day is still done in Vienna. As production capacity is limited by this focus on quality and artistry, new market development has been restricted to opening boutiques (more than 45 worldwide, and growing!).   I live in a smoke free, pet free home.   Sold in the Original Frey Wille Box There are 4 Different Colorings of Mozart's Bust Enameled on the Bracelet You Can See the Trademark M Frey Wille Stamp in the Piece You Can Also See the Clear Sticker Inside the Bracelet - Original Sticker This Piece Has Stunning Colors!
