Description You are bidding on an absolutely pristine Patek Philippe Chronometro Gondolo in 18 karat gold.  This investment grade watch is simply amazing.  I doubt that the watch was ever carried, as you can only see the occasional barely visible scratch or rub here and there.  The case, dial, and works are all in super condition.  Any marks on the rear case can only be seen under magnification, and there are almost no marks even then.  Refer to the pictures, as I believe they tell an accurate story on this watch. This watch is the most beautiful that Patek made, in my opinion. These much larger than usual Pateks were called the "Chronometro Gondolo”.  The watch is triple-signed on the face, case, and works.  The watch has been kept in storage for several years, but was serviced before that.  It keeps perfect time.  Everything is original on this watch.  The white dial is applied with hour & minute hands, black hour markers, outer dial minute index markers, and a seconds subdial at the 6 o'clock position.  The case diameter is approximately 52mm (21 lignes).  The inner cover is signed “Chronometro Gondolo, Fabricando expressamente para Gondolo & Labouriau Relojoeiros, Rio de Janeiro, No 175711 Patek Philippe & Co, Geneve”.  The inside of the back cover is marked PPCo 18K and engraved “276040”.  All 3 covers are stiff and show little use. The high grade bridge movement has gold train wheels, a moustache lever and a micrometer regulator. The movement is signed “Patek Philippe & Cie, No 175711, Geneve” and is also signed “Pat Jan 13 1891”.  No box or papers with this watch.
