I bought this as a gift for an ex and paid $975.00. Starting at the top, there is a leather handle that makes the case easy to travel with should you decide you can't leave home without it, or if you just want to move it from room to room or shelf to shelf. There is a gold colored locking mechanism whereby you push the two knobs together and the case opens. There is a key included. The top opens to reveal an elastic pocket across the top. To the left is a 3.5" by 5.5" area for storage followed by 4 areas that hold bracelets and such. There are two pillows that you can wrap bracelets or watches. There is a black curved section usually for coins or cuff links or earrings, those things that are more difficult to pick up on a flat surface. Finally there are 7 curved rolls that usually hold rings or earrings, etc. The lining of the inside is a dark forest green and suede like in texture. I dont know exactly what the material is on the inside but it is soft to the touch and very nice. Down below are two compartments for the watch winding. The two pillows pull out and you insert your watches on them. There are two switches by each winding station that you flip up if you are using AC adapter power (not included but a standard AC adapter works) or flip the switch down to operate on battery power (which it looks like 4 D batteries also not included). The panel on the back reveals the storage area for the batteries. Its nice because it has the typical little bar that you rotate up, but then it has a little handle to help you pull the compartment open. This is really a special gift for someone.
