Up for auction is a beautiful vintage brooch made by Monet, the famous costume jewelry company. We were very fortunate to acquire this item, among many of our other items up for auction, from the estate of a collector of costume jewelry. The marking indicates that this brooch is post-1955. It is in excellent condition. It contains pink and blue rhinestones and faux diamond chips. These jewels are set in a metal base, which is gold in color. It measures 2 1/4 inches in length and is 1 ¼ inches wide. As expected, the bouquet motif is beautiful. Only Monet is capable of such beauty. The “Monet” mark appears on the underneath the piece.We do not how old it is but we guess it is between 50and 60 years old. In other words, it was made in the 1950s thereabouts. It has a standard clasp.So … if you are interested in distinctive costume jewelry that makes a statement, then this gem is for you! It is exquisite so you won’t be disappointed!
