Although this piece is not signed, it has all the elements that make this piece a Tabra piece – it was also sold to me by a reputable Tabra dealer.  I haven’t seen anything like it since I bought it.  I have a few other of these hair sticks and like to show them off as totems in a bowl of beans in my living room.  This item is several years old and has developed a beautiful patina that I have not polished.  As all Tabra, this piece is handmade and any imperfections are part of the product that is lovingly fashioned by the artist. This hair stick is made of some kind of dark wood with a detachable earring that includes the signature face with hanging bone etched pieces and dangling treasures. The hair stick, measures approximately 7 inches from the top of the medallion to the bottom of the hair pick. The face medallion is about 1 inch across.
